UNSUNG HEROES WORKING IN THE COMMUNITY
Relaxing in the early evening at Battle of the Bands. CARILLON RADIO'S fundraising team (well two of them then) taking it easy with a little wine. Coalville Youth Council chose us to host the event with our younger presenters live on stage. Jan & Joy seen here enjoying a fabulous gig with thousands in attendance.
James, one of our younger members, helps out at the fundraisers and loves the spotlight at community events. One day he hopes to present on CARILLON RADIO and his ambition is to be a drummer in a rock band. We all hope he progresses from his morning paper round to delivering our magazine "THE CARILLON CHIMES" at 2000 copies per issue its big job. Oh! he is pictured smiling ready for an event!!!
Sue and Jackie, stars of the country music scene, singing as "Hearts of Class" and one of many local bands that travelled throughout 2006 with the CARILLON RADIO community crew. This year 2007 watchout for new talent on the way to stardom with CARILLON RADIO at an event near you. A little bird says Sue could be with us again this year- we hope so!
